Melting Gun by Waseem Abbas is a 36 × 24-inch acrylic-on-canvas abstract painting. A concentrated gun-like form appears to soften and dissolve across the composition, while shifting edges, layered colour and interrupted contours create a tense, unstable rhythm. The sense of form breaking apart gives the title a direct visual presence without fixing the work to a single narrative.

Waseem Abbas
Waseem Abbas is a Lahore-based visual artist from Parachinar, born in 1999. He graduated from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2025 with a major in Painting.
His practice is deeply rooted in the experiences of his hometown and the wider Pashtun community, reflecting on conflict, violence, memory, resilience, and the ways these realities shape society, culture, and personal identity. Through bold colour, dynamic forms, and emotionally charged compositions, Waseem transforms lived histories into paintings that carry both pain and strength.
His work has been shown at Numaish Gah, Alhamra Arts Council, O Art Space, Ocean Art Galleries, Mainframe Gallery, VM Art Gallery, The Reservoir Art Gallery, and other contemporary platforms.
For collectors, Waseem Abbas’s work offers cultural urgency, expressive power, and a compelling contemporary voice.
