"Swim of Rejoice - II" by Maria Danyal

Maria Danyal is a Lahore-based visual artist, born in 1981. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Punjab University College of Art & Design and has developed a painting practice shaped by biodiversity, spirituality, observation, and emotional experience.

Working across oil, pastel, and varied painterly techniques, her practice reflects a deep connection with nature, the Divine, and the changing moods of after life experience. Maria’s diverse colour palette and shifting treatment of surface reveal how each painting emerges from a different emotional state and moment of reflection.

Alongside her studio practice, she has worked as an art and creative skills instructor, supporting neurodevelopmentally and physically challenged children and adults.

For collectors, Maria Danyal’s work offers spiritual sensitivity, painterly diversity, and a heartfelt connection to nature, spirituality and emotion.
