Farooqi
Asrar Farooqi is a Bahawalpur-born Pakistani visual artist whose practice is rooted in painting, heritage, and the vibrant visual culture of everyday life. Asrar Farooqi began his career as a cinema signboard painter before moving toward fine art, training under Ghulam Rasool and later Mansoor Rahi.
Asrar Farooqi further developed his foundation in Drawing and Painting at the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi. Asrar Farooqi’s debut solo exhibition, Cultural Hues of Rawalpindi, at Nukta Art Gallery, Islamabad, reflected the city’s bazaars, streets, textures, and living heritage.
Asrar Farooqi has exhibited in Pakistan and internationally, receiving recognition including First Prize in the 2017 UAE with the Brush of Pakistani Artists competition.
