Collection: Bazil Habib

Bazil Habib is a Lahore-based contemporary visual artist and a graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore. Working primarily in painting, his practice explores the relationship between light, space, memory and perception through environments reconstructed from places he has personally experienced.

Habib deconstructs familiar architectural settings and transforms them into quiet, surreal spaces where light becomes both a visual and emotional presence. Through a restrained approach to composition, recurring elements such as windows, steps and illuminated passages take on symbolic and spiritual significance.

Windows suggest possibilities beyond the immediate space, while steps evoke movement between growth and decline, light and darkness. Through these carefully constructed environments, Habib moves beyond physical representation, creating contemplative spaces that invite viewers to encounter architecture through memory, emotion and imagination.
