Collection: Danish Kumar Gahlot

Danish Kumar Gahlot is a multidisciplinary artist from Umerkot, Sindh, and a graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore. Working across painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation and site-specific practice, his work draws upon spirituality, memory, ecology and the experiences of marginalised communities.

Rooted in the Hindu concept of the cycle of life, death and reincarnation, Gahlot explores existence as a continuous process of destruction, transformation and renewal. Ashes, natural materials and altered spaces become recurring elements through which he reflects on histories, displacement and the traces people leave behind.

His practice also engages with environmental loss and climate change, connecting spiritual ideas of renewal with ecological restoration. Through material and space, Gahlot considers how memory, belief and nature shape both individual and collective experience.
