Collection: Duraeshawar Tariq

Duraeshawar Tariq is a Lahore-based visual artist who graduated from the College of Art & Design and has continued to develop her practice in oil painting. Her work has been shown at PNCA Islamabad, Ejaz Art Gallery, Tagheer, and VM Art Gallery Karachi, and she has been granted the Elizabeth Greenshields scholarship.

Her practice investigates serenity, melancholy, emotional vulnerability, cultural norms, and longing. Drawing from personal experience, social influence, and self-reflection, Duraeshawar creates narratives that merge intimate emotion with universal human concerns.

Working primarily with oil on board and canvas, she uses herself and two close friends as recurring figures, alongside illustrative elements, to explore displacement, societal pressure, and the search for inner peace. Influenced by the contemplative stillness of Haiku poetry, her paintings become pauses for reflection and connection.

For collectors, Duraeshawar Tariq’s work offers emotional sincerity, poetic stillness, and contemporary figurative depth.
