Faiza Taufique
Faiza Taufique is a Lahore-based visual artist whose practice explores nature through detailed observation, intricate mark-making and expressive colour. She holds an MFA in Painting from the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore, and works across multiple mediums with a particular focus on pen, ink and acrylic.
Taufique draws parallels between the individuality of human fingerprints and the unique structures found throughout nature. Trees occupy a central place in her visual language, becoming symbols of identity, resilience and our dependence on the natural world.
Combining meticulous line work with fluid, atmospheric landscapes, her work reflects on environmental fragility and the consequences of ecological loss. Through these compositions, Taufique celebrates nature as a source of beauty, connection and renewal while drawing attention to the responsibility of preserving it.
