Ayesha Abbas Khan
Ayesha Abbas Khan is a Lahore-based visual artist and a graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore. Working primarily with oil paint, her practice is defined by expressive brushwork, layered surfaces and an intuitive engagement with colour, texture and movement.
Khan moves beyond conventional portraiture to explore the relationship between figures and their surrounding environments. Influenced by Impressionism, she uses impasto, spontaneous gestures and vivid colour to capture fleeting moments, shifting light and atmospheric qualities. The physicality of paint becomes central, allowing each stroke to carry movement and emotional intensity.
Her visual language also draws from the colour, drama and storytelling of Bollywood cinema. Through this intersection of painting and cinematic memory, Khan creates energetic compositions where figures, environments and gestures merge into evolving narratives.
