Collection: Farrukh Shahab

Farrukh Shahab is a Karachi-based Pakistani visual artist, curator, and educator whose practice spans more than three decades. Beginning with portraiture, he received early recognition with a Gold Medal at the Sindh Artist’s Exhibition in 1990 and top honours at the Quaid-i-Azam Portrait Exhibition in 1995.

His practice has evolved into a layered dialogue between figuration, abstraction, mysticism, and urban experience. Working across oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, and found imagery, he creates compositions that move between symbolic narrative, spiritual reflection, and contemporary human experience.

Farrukh has exhibited nationally and internationally, with presentations in Pakistan, the UK, Bangladesh, and other art platforms. Alongside his studio practice, he contributes to Pakistan’s cultural landscape as an artist, educator, curator, and Chairman of the Fine Arts Committee at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.
