Collection: Farrukh Shahab

Farrukh Shahab is a Karachi-based Pakistani visual artist, curator, and educator whose practice spans more than three decades. Beginning with portraiture, Farrukh Shahab received early recognition with a Gold Medal at the Sindh Artist’s Exhibition in 1990 and top honours at the Quaid-i-Azam Portrait Exhibition in 1995.

Farrukh Shahab’s work has evolved into a sophisticated interplay of figuration, abstraction, mysticism, and urban experience. Working with oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, and found imagery, Farrukh Shahab creates layered compositions that explore symbolic narratives, spiritual undertones, and the complexities of human presence.

Farrukh Shahab has exhibited nationally and internationally, with exposure in Paris, London, and New York. Farrukh Shahab also chairs the Fine Arts Committee at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.
