Collection: Imran Baloch
Imran Baloch is a Lahore-based visual artist from Quetta, Balochistan. A graduate of the University of Balochistan, he later completed his MA (Hons) in Visual Art from the National College of Arts, Lahore. His early experience as a commercial signboard painter continues to inform his relationship with language, lettering and visual identity.
Imran's practice examines language as a carrier of cultural memory, belonging and collective identity. Responding to the gradual decline of Urdu and regional languages, he considers how shifts in language and script can reshape our connection to heritage.
Working primarily with clay, Ahmad constructs words as physical forms, giving language material presence and fragility. His process reflects the long histories through which languages evolve, endure and disappear, turning script into a space for preservation, recognition and reflection.
