Collection: Jamil Baloch

Jamil Baloch is a Lahore-based Pakistani visual artist, sculptor, painter, and educator, born in Nushki, Balochistan, in 1972. He graduated from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 1997, where he has also served as a faculty member.

His multidisciplinary practice moves across sculpture, painting, drawing, video, and mixed media installation, reflecting on social barriers, power, survival, cultural identity, and the human condition. Rooted in the cultural landscape of Balochistan, his work brings together traditional references, contemporary form, and symbolic engagement with nature, violence, resilience, and collective memory.

Jamil has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has participated in residencies including Art Omi, Vermont Studio Center, George Keyt Foundation, Vasl International, and Theertha. His honours include Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the Sadequain Award, and several national and international art prizes.
