Collection: Mughees Riaz

Mughees Riaz is a Lahore-based Pakistani painter and art educator whose practice is rooted in landscape, memory, and the emotional presence of place. He studied Fine Arts at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, where he completed his BFA, MFA, and later M.Phil, and has continued to contribute as an artist and educator.

His work is deeply connected to landscape, particularly the Ravi River and the changing qualities of light, atmosphere, and distance. While his paintings often begin with the visible world, they move beyond direct representation to explore memory, silence, symbolism, and the inner life of a place.

Mughees has exhibited widely in Pakistan through solo and group exhibitions at major galleries including Canvas Gallery, Ejaz Art Gallery, Nomad Gallery, Koel Gallery, and O Art Space.
