Collection: Naqsh Raj

Naqsh Raj is an Islamabad-based artist and educator, born in Quetta in 1984. She holds a Master’s in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore, and has taught art and design for more than a decade in Pakistan and the UK, including COMSATS Islamabad and Nottingham Trent International College.

Her abstract practice brings stencil-based printmaking into gestural painting, creating rhythmic compositions shaped by repetition, geometry, colour, discipline, and intuition. Through layered surfaces, she explores order, self-awareness, visual ethics, and the tension between mechanical process and the human hand.

Naqsh received the 2024 Nigaah Award, won the main prize in Open 23 at Tarpey Gallery, UK, and was shortlisted for the 2023 John Moores Painting Prize.

For collectors, Naqsh Raj’s work offers structure, intuition, and internationally recognised contemporary abstraction.
