Collection: Nazar Ul Islam
Nazar Ul Islam is a Pakistani visual artist, miniature painter, and educator, born in 1981. Trained at CEAD Mehran University and ACIAC, he works within the traditions of Persian and Mughal miniature painting while developing a contemporary visual language.
His practice is rooted in gouache and watercolour on wasli, where precision, layering, colour, and ornament become tools for storytelling and reflection. Through miniature painting, Nazar explores the relationship between heritage and contemporary expression, allowing classical technique to speak with personal imagination and present-day relevance.
His work often carries vibrant energy, symbolic detail, and a refined sensitivity to form, texture, and visual rhythm.
For collectors, Nazar Ul Islam’s work offers technical discipline, cultural inheritance, and a contemporary continuation of miniature painting.
