Collection: Syed Tanzeef Raza Zaidi

Syed Tanzeef Raza Zaidi is an Islamabad-based visual artist and filmmaker who earned his BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore, with a major in Miniature Painting. His practice examines the value of images by drawing from both fine art and finance, influenced by maternal and paternal histories.

Working with gouache on wasli, photo-transfer, Pahari and Mughal miniature references, and visual elements drawn from currency security features, he explores how images carry cultural, emotional, and economic meaning. His work reflects on power, trust, memory, and the systems that decide what is seen as valuable.

Syed Tanzeef has exhibited at Numaish Gah, Khyal Art Space, and Orchard Gallery, and participated in a residency with Punjab Arts Council and PTDC for the International Gandhara Festival.
