Collection: Tanweer Farooqi

Tanweer Farooqi is a Karachi-based visual artist and educator working primarily in pen and ink, with oil on canvas also forming part of his practice. He has held three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Pakistan and internationally.

His work explores interiority, memory, resilience, and the quiet dignity of everyday life. Through patient line work, cross-hatching, grids, and geometric structures, Tanweer builds intimate scenes of figures reading, resting, or caught in moments of contemplation. Clothing, posture, domestic space, and South Asian context become carriers of mood, history, and human presence.

Across drawing and painting, his practice values slow looking, stillness, and emotional depth, allowing ordinary moments to become meditations on time and memory.

For collectors, Tanweer Farooqi’s work offers technical discipline, intimacy, and contemplative figurative strength.
