Collection: Umaina Khan

Umaina Khan is a Dubai-based Pakistani visual artist and curator who graduated in Fine Arts from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 2021. Her practice explores emotion, identity, memory, and human connection through fictional, theatrical worlds shaped by colour, performance, and narrative.

Her recurring persona, the “Cake Lady,” functions as an alter ego through which imagined characters, places, and histories are encountered. In these dreamlike scenes, private feeling is placed in dialogue with the lives and experiences of others, transforming personal emotion into shared visual storytelling.

Umaina has exhibited internationally, including Soho House Hong Kong, Daira Global New York, and Culture Lab New York. She serves as Lead Co-Curator for Art Bridger MENA and teaches at IVS.

For collectors, Umaina Khan’s work offers theatrical imagination, emotional intimacy, and contemporary narrative strength.
