Collection: Unab Sumbal

Unab Sumbal is a Lahore-based visual artist and curator from Chenab Nagar, near Chiniot, Punjab. She completed her BFA from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, in 2016, where she began developing her interest in portraiture, mark-making, and the emotional presence of everyday life.

Her practice centres on ordinary people, daily routines, and the quiet beauty found in familiar surroundings. Working with hyperreal faces, vibrant backgrounds, ink, acrylic, and expressive line, she transforms observation into intimate visual narratives shaped by memory, sensitivity, and lived experience.

Unab won the Arjumand Painting Award in 2019 and also works as a curator, contributing to Pakistan’s contemporary art scene.
