Collection: Urooj Shahid

Urooj Shahid is a Lahore-based visual artist, born in 2003, and a graduate of the College of Art & Design, University of the Punjab. Working primarily in graphite on paper, she creates detailed drawings of hand-knitted, damaged, and unfinished forms.

Her practice explores the quiet beauty that exists within imperfection, reflecting on fragility, vulnerability, endurance, and the contrast between outer wholeness and inner damage. Through thread-like textures, worn surfaces, and knitted fruit forms, Urooj merges natural and handmade elements to reveal how flaws can carry honesty, individuality, and emotional truth.

Her work has been exhibited at The Knowledge of Art Academy Exhibition, Numaish Gah, and the University of the Punjab Main Campus Exhibition.

For collectors, Urooj Shahid’s work offers delicate craftsmanship, emotional honesty, and a sensitive contemporary reflection on imperfection.
