Yasir
Noor
Yasir Noor is a Karachi-based visual artist currently completing a BFA at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. His practice draws from memory, ancestry, and personal history, shaped by stories of coal mines and inherited labour passed down through his family.
Through painting, he transforms fading memories into symbolic images where recollection may lose colour, but remains emotionally present. Yasir’s work reflects on heritage, disappearance, labour, and the fragile persistence of personal history, allowing intimate family narratives to speak to wider human experiences.
His first solo exhibition, Coal in Motion, was presented at MainFrame The Gallery, Karachi, in 2025, curated by Muhammad Zeeshan.
For collectors, Yasir Noor’s work offers emotional intimacy, narrative depth, and a personal contemporary reflection on memory and inheritance.
