Collection: Bakhtawar Naqvi
Bakhtawar Naqvi is a Rawalpindi-based visual artist, born in 2004. Bakhtawar graduated from the National College of Arts in 2025, majoring in Miniature Painting. Bakhtawar has participated in selected group exhibitions including the 21st Emerging Talent Exhibition at VM Art Gallery, Karachi.
Rooted in the discipline of miniature painting, Bakhtawar’s practice explores borders, patterns, hashias, figures, and intimate everyday settings. Bakhtawar reinterprets the traditional miniature border as both protection and limitation, reflecting on visible and invisible boundaries that shape identity, memory, comfort, and confinement.
Working primarily with gouache on handmade paper, Bakhtawar creates delicate figurative compositions where grids, lattices, and fading patterns suggest the tension between access and restriction.
For collectors, Bakhtawar’s work offers a refined contemporary miniature language, balancing technical precision with emotional and cultural depth.
